More than 75 years ago – on March 1, 1950 – brothers Herbert and Richard Machulez founded the company Gebrüber Machulez GmbH. During the humble beginnings, the brothers and three employees focused on purchasing, processing and recycling scrap metal. A service, that was much needed and lucrative in post-war Germany.
Over the decades, the company has shown its willingness to grow. This included the development of new business segments and the founding of subsidiaries – always in compliance with the customer’s needs. Today, the Machulez Group holds a growing workforce of 115 people and five subsidiaries – one being M-Logistik.
M-Logistik consists of the subsidiaries Machulez Transport GmbH, Herbert Machulez GmbH and certain divisions of Machulez Containerdienst GmbH. Being part of the Machulez Group, the company offers cargo handling at the harbor and transportation via ship and truck. Additionally, M-Logistik provides containers and supplies end customers with mineral mixtures, gravel and sand from the company’s own production.
M-Logistik owns 80,000 square meters of harbor space, 15,000 square meters of industrial space, a 25-hectare sand pit and its own facility for the recycling of soil and construction waste. From Cuxhaven to all parts of Northern Germany – the company serves customers from Nordholz to Bremerhaven, from Duhnen and Döse to Otterndorf.
